Signs
Craft a Wooden sign in Crafting → Building with 4 planks and 1 coal. Charcoal does not work in this recipe. Each craft produces one sign.
Aim at the top of a block to place a standing sign, or at its side to attach the sign to a wall. Signs cannot hang from ceilings or support other blocks. The board and post block movement according to their shape; the space beside the post remains open.
Placing a sign opens the text window. It has four lines of up to 16 characters each, with bold, pixel-style black letters. Text automatically adjusts to fit the board and is centered. Short messages can use larger letters, so keep directions brief if you want players to read them from farther away. Empty lines before or after the message do not shift it; empty lines between words keep their spacing.
Accented letters, ñ, and Spanish punctuation are supported; colors, emojis, and formatting are not. Text appears only on the front. Readability depends on the message, your screen size, viewing angle, and distance.
Only the player who just placed the sign can write on it. Select Save to save the text or Cancel/Escape to leave it blank. Saving or closing locks the text; it cannot be edited. To change it, break the sign and place another. Other players see the confirmed text.
The window closes if you move away, lose permission to build, or the sign disappears. Its text and orientation are saved with the world and remain when you reconnect.
If you see Sign limit reached, remove another nearby sign before placing a new one. You keep the sign you tried to place.
Breaking a sign or removing its support destroys everything: you recover neither the sign, its materials, nor its text. You can also break it with a full backpack.
